Mission Hill Reserve Chardonnay 2016
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCreamy, ripe and built, this year's MHFE Reserve Chardy is a selection in both the vineyard and the cellar, using the top 15 percent of their vast estate vineyards and 75 percent of the same vineyard blocks year over year (Oliver, Osoyoos, and Naramata Ranch) for consistency. This was nearly 3/4 fermented and aged in oak, which is highly apparent in the toasty, vanilla, lemon curd, white peach and cracked cloves. The finish swells with gingersnap heat.
