Ex Nihilo Night 2016
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Night is Ex Nihilo's ode to Bordeaux, mixing cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot all grown on the warm Black Sage Bench. Usually, the Ex-Nihilo style has been more powerful, but I like the direction this wine is moving in, showing more red fruits, balance, and elegance, at least as much as you can do in the south Okanagan. The attack is rounded out three years down the road with floral, crushed cassis, cherry and wild raspberry peppered with spice.
