JoieFarm Pinot Noir 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2016 JoieFarm Pinot Noir is the best yet. Structured and assured, but with finesse and vibrancy that easily carries the darker fruit. Black cherries lead, while gently smoked plum, sweet tobacco spice, autumn forest filter through the medium, fleshy body to a tight, smoke ringed finish, welcoming partnering with well cured jamon, duck, or pork rillettes. This blends fruit from Summerland, Naramata and Penticton mixing up four clones in the blend. Many small fermentation lots, plus gentle pressing and barrel fermentation and aging in various larger format sizes of wood (new wood enters in puncheons only) results in the dialled in complexities of this distinctly JoieFarm, and BC, pinot noir.Tasted: 11 October 2018Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices:
