Juxtaposed Old Vine Grenache 2017

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaThis is a blend of Clarendon's Smart Vineyard (planted 1921), and Blewitt Springs' Wait Vineyard (planted 1942). From the latter, 35 percent whole bunches were used. Wax, raspberry, bayberry and boysenberry perfumed musk prevails throughout the expansive mid-palate, all still reined in with tight, fine tannins and ripping acidity.
