Noble Ridge Reserve Chardonnay 2015

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Noble Ridge Reserve is a mix of French clones 76 and 95 grown over glacial and fluvial deposits of sand, gravel and rock inside the new Okanagan Falls sub-GI. It’s aged 14 months in French oak that is only 20 percent new. As warm as 2015 was the wine has overcome the cooked fruit nature of many of its peers offering a rich, creamy but fresh midpalate. It’s more California than Okanagan but in a good way with intense fruit and just enough acidity to offset the ripeness. Peachy nutty leesy but in balance with some complexity. We can’t wait to see this in more normal, cooler growing season. Buttery seafood dishes or creamy mushroom pastas all work here.Tasted: 05 July 2018Tasted by: Treve Ring & Anthony GismondiPrices:
