Montsant, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainMas Donis Negre is a 45/35/10/5/5 mix of tempranillo, garnacha, merlot, syrah and samsó (carignan) that spends a brief four months in French and American oak barrels. This is powerful, spicy red wine with plenty of dimension and a small but important floral aspect. This nose is full of red berries with garrigue-like dried herbs and plenty of youthful tannin. This will age for a decade and be even better in 2028. A terrific wine to add to the cellar at a bargain price.
