Howling Bluff Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2017
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe best yet of this tricky 85/15 sauvignon blanc and sémillon. With the vineyard now 15 years old, the fruit is at a stage to begin showing what it has, and under the enthusiastic guidance of winemaker Luke Smith it is showing quite a bit, beginning with fine freshness. The attack is dry with bright notes of green apple, pineapple and grass. The attack is crisp and tight but with a touch of weight and round mouthfeel before finishing with citrus and passionfruit.
