Finca Decero Rare Varieties Mini Ediciones Petit Verdot Remolinos Vineyard 2013

Agrelo District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaPetit Verdot clone 400, originated in Bordeaux but is now well adapted about the wine world, including Argentina. The grapes undergo a cluster selection in the field and a second sorting at the winery. It was a cool year, never good news of the late ripening petit verdot, but this looks about right in the glass and there is a welcomed freshness too. The nose is a floral mix of pepper, tar, tobacco, tea and spice. The attack rich and full-bodied with silky savoury blueberry fruit flecked with coffee, vanilla, black cherry, resin and sage flavours with dense but ripe tannins. You can cellar this for three to five years no problem. Best with grilled meats. Production is a healthy 826 cases.Tasted: 06 July 2018Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
