Bella Wines King Family Farms Chardonnay Sparkling 2017
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaI was thrilled to see that Bella has started working with King Family Farms, one of Naramata Bench's pioneering farming and vineyard families. This chardy was whole cluster pressed, native fermented, and had a tirage of Champagne yeast to kickstart secondary fermentation and its five months in bottle on lees, before hand riddling and dégorgement. Tight, and sharp, with lemon, granny smith apple, river stones and a riveting acidity in a zero dosage, severe styled fizz. Humming along the slim palate, this moves rapidly along the palate to a snappy, upright finish.
