Sea Star Pinot Noir Reserve 2015

Pender Island, Southern Gulf Islands, British Columbia, CanadaFrom the winery's warm upper benches on Pender Island, this year's pinot noir is grippy, scrubby red, with downy plum, perfumed black cherry, and cola. Tannins are gritty and up front, housing the fruit while shredding the sides of this coastal wine. The finish is brusque and bitter pinched, which can be remedied with protein. A rustic, if pure, lens of organic Pender Island pinot.Tasted: 27 June 2018Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
