Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Reimer Vineyard Kelowna 2016

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMeyer Family Vineyards have carved a niche for themselves with their single vineyard pinot noirs and chardonnays. This is from South East Kelowna's Reimer Estate Vineyard and its alluvial and loess layered silt loam soils. Pommard and Dijon clones (115, 667, 777) were destemmed into a cold soak, fermented wild at warm temperature before 11 months in French oak (roughly one quarter new). Medicinally-lined morello cherry, dark raspberry, flashes of kirsch and a dusting of nutmeg on the soft, supple, seductive palate. Tannins are slight, silty with a gentle stickiness, to the salted cinnamon bark finish. Classic MFV, drinking well now, but with intensity to cellar short term.Tasted: 07 March 2018Tasted by: Prices:
