Spierhead Pinot Noir Cuvée 2016

East Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe top tier of the trio of pinot noirs Spierhead makes each year, Cuvée is a barrel selection of best clones and sites. In 2016, this is Dijon 115, 667, 828, plus 15 percent Pommard, all aged ten months in French oak (more new oak than the other pinot cuvées). Soft and generous on the mouth, with perfumed plum, dark raspberry, and ample fine cinnamon and clove spicing. Tannins are dusky fine, dark chocolate clad, and powdery soft, wrapping a velvet palate.
