Spierhead Pinot Noir Cuvée 2016

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSpearhead Pinot Noir Cuvée is a selection of the best barrels. It’s always made in limited quantities and it disappears fast. In 2016 the mix is 35 percent Dijon 115, 25 percent Dijon 667, 25 percent Dijon 828 and 15 percent Pommard. The nose is a savoury mix of dried herbs, tea, beef au jus, and the flavours dry dark plums and cherries followed by smoke and oak. Rich and robust but with just enough restraint to still be pinot-like. No rush to drink this, in fact another three years in the cellar would be a perfect way to let it sing.Tasted: 26 February 2018Tasted by: Prices:
