50th Parallel Estate Pinot Noir 2015

Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMade from a blend of estate fruit spread across six Dijon clones: 115, 114, 777, 667, 828, 943. It’s all young vines, the oldest only seven years old. It is cold soaked and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts for 17-26 days and then 14 months in barrel before blending. The style is consistent with juicy, spicy pinot fruit with a smoky savoury undercurrent. It’s much earthier now then it was last summer, showing hints of Oregon in the finish. Drinkable now but there is no rush. Best with grilled duck, barbecue pork or chicken. Well done.Tasted: 26 February 2018Tasted by: Prices:
