50th Parallel Estate Pinot Noir 2015
Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMade from a blend of estate fruit spread across six Dijon clones: 115, 114, 777, 667, 828, 943. It’s all young vines, the oldest only seven years old. It is cold soaked and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts for 17-26 days and then 14 months in barrel before blending. The style is consistent with juicy, spicy pinot fruit with a smoky savoury undercurrent. It’s much earthier now then it was last summer, showing hints of Oregon in the finish.
