Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSynchromesh, and founder / winemaker / powered by riesling inspirer Alan Dickinson, has earned the title as THE riesling producer in Canada, on par with the best anywhere. Thorny Vines vineyard is at the very southern end of the Naramata Bench, facing north and planted to 21B in 2010 on fertile heavy clay. Juicy, buoyant, energetic pear, white grapefruit, melon, eraser is drawn along textural, elastic lees to the finish. Acid is absolutely cranked over last year, and the vineyard is shining.
