Western Cape, South AfricaProtea chenin blanc pays hommage to South Africa's national flower. The wine is fresh and bright with fine ripe melon character, pear, greengage and nectarines. The attack is similar but with a creamy texture reflecting some time on the lees. I love the fresh, carefree style and could use more of this from other inexpensive white wines in the marketplace.
