Mission Hill Perpetua Chardonnay 2015

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaIf you haven't tried Perpetua in awhile, it's time to give it another look. 2015 marked the beginning of a gradual stylistic change for Mission Hill's flagship chardonnay, with the addition of Naramata fruit for the first time. There was a conscious effort to retain freshness in what was a challenging, warm vintage. Beyond looking to cooler sites to balance the ripeness of Osoyoos fruit, winemaker Darryl Brooker also blocked malolactic fermentation and partially aged the wine in concrete. The wine has developed nicely over the last five years as a result, and is just about drinking at its peak now with golden-hued fruit, honey, and beautifully integrated oak.Tasted: 19 September 2020Tasted by: Prices:
