Mission Hill Perpetua Chardonnay 2015

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFive years down the road, the hot 2015 vintage is beginning to show a few cracks. The ripe, pear-flavoured chardonnay with plenty of spice and creamy, baked apple fruit is beginning to age, suggesting it's time to drink. 2015 signalled a move north with 25 percent cooler Naramata fruit added to the original all-Osoyoos chardonnay recipe. The first Darryl Brooker version also came with a much appreciated leesy, mineral package using three chardonnay clones: 76, 96, and 548. There is a saving saltiness in the face of less acidity that has held off the creamy, buttery notes, but as mentioned, the wine is beginning to show its age. It’s in a good spot but don't wait to drink your bottles.Tasted: 19 September 2020Tasted by: Prices:
