Ex Nihilo Pinot Noir 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe grapes come off two northern sites,Rise Vineyard and the Ex Nihilo in Lake Country, and go through a whole berry fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being aged nine months in French Oak barrels of which 20 percent are new. The nose is overripe with cooked plums and cherries that carry on to the sweetish, candied jam palate laced with vanilla. A bit too rich and lifted for us.
