Sicily, ItalyA consistent performer that opens with that ripe Mediterranean cherry/plum fruit character, flecked with licorice and spicy, floral notes. It’s 100 percent nero d’Avola from 20-year-old vineyards in Butera, Sicily, that sit at 984 feet above sea level and sees no oak. The attack is dry, elegant and fresh with very light tannins.
