Domaine Laroche Chablis Premier Cru Les Fourchaume Vielles Vignes 2012

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceFrom a windy site near the top of the hill, this is a massale selection and old vines. Taut, lemon-lined, with fennel, herbal wheat, white asparagus, lemon verbena, honeysuckle perfume on a base of flint. Bitter herbal pear and aged parmesan lingers on the earthy finish. Quite generous, with concentrated phenols from thicker skins finishing with a salty, chalky tug.
