Craggy Range Kidnappers Vineyard Chardonnay 2013

Hawkes Bay, North Island, New ZealandThis single-vineyard chardonnay is located on Kidnapper's Vineyard's silty clay loams, close to the sea. Thirty percent wild ferment, this was divided between stainless steel (15 percent) and oak cuves and puncheons (10 percent of which was new). Lovely citrus and pear blossom scents stone fruit, Anjou pear and yellow apple. At this stage, the wood is still noticeable through a light filter of smoke though the juiciness of the mid palate and streaks of bright orange makes this likeable and friendly now, and over the next few years.Tasted: 23 January 2017Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
