Concha y Toro Terrunyo Andes Block Las Terrazas Cabernet Sauvignon Pirque Vineyard 2013
Pirque, Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileRoasted meats, earthy cassis and dusky thorns pierce into this cabernet sauvignon from Pirque Viejo, one of the winery’s oldest vineyards and one unaffected by phylloxera. It is located 650 m above sea level, running along the Maipo River on alluvial rocky and gravel soils. Fourteen months in French oak has provided structure to house the Andean foothills fruit, one surprisingly fresh for its 14.5 percent. Throughout, roasted onions, tobacco colour the black fruit, all held together with gummy tannins. Drink now with roasted beef or lamb.Tasted: 12 October 2017Tasted by: Prices:
