Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAn exciting wine, in numerous ways. This is from OCP's brand new Garnet Valley Ranch site, a 126 purpose-planted organic vineyard and farm planted in conjunction with Pedro Perra. The pinot noir vines in this wine sit between 600-680m altitude, the highest elevation vineyard in the Okanagan Valley. This pet nat is wild yeast fermented in concrete, and bottled during primary fermentation (ancestral method). Yeast-led nose, with light pear blossoms underneath. Crisp pear, pear skin lead the lively and vibrant palate, setting off a round core and ample riff of stones humming on the finish. Young, pleasant and quenching; exactly as it should be (save for the price).
