Quails' Gate Chardonnay Rosemary's Block 2015
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRosemary's Block was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary at Quails' Gate, but it has become much more than a one-off release. In 2015 the single block selection is now part of the Anniversary Series, boasting a leaner, Euro, ‘Burgundian’ style chardonnay. Despite the ripe fruit of 2015 there is an elegance and restraint in this chardonnay mixed with citrus, mineral, leesy, toasted nut flavours. The acidity is bright for such a warm year and it draws out the pear/apple aftertaste. Perfect oak adds weight, but no real flavour.
