Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDusty gravels, thorns, violets and ripe cassis fill this full, structured meritage blend, entirely sourced from Osoyoos' Desert Ridge Vineyard. Cabernet sauvignon (80 percent), cabernet franc, merlot and malbec from very stony soils spends 35 days fermenting in stainless steel before 22 months aging in French oak. Cab sauv form is evident here, as is the warm desert generosity and sun, and though tannins are ripe and ample, they are fine tuned.
