Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaClassic funky Howling Bluff pinot here that caught the eye and nose of the judges at The Nationals in Penticton. The nose is both fragrant and savoury with that classic forest floor underpinning its ripe, red fruit aromas. The palate is similar with boisterous cherry fruit flavours, sour candies and bitter orange peel. Complex, brooding and thoughtful, it needs another year or two to fully gather itself.
