Synchromesh Cachola Family Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2014
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWild fresh raspberries, perfumed cherries, rhubarb and raspberry leaf lead this Loire-inspired, herbal cabernet franc. Bright and precise acids lift and buoy the juicy fruited, medium-bodied palate along fine, lightly cloudy tannins (unfiltered) until a vibrating riff of sage and mustard seed herbs lingers on the finish. A welcome lighter version of Okanagan cab franc, even at a surprising 14.2 percent alcohol, and best appreciated with a slight chill.
