Elephant Island Winery The Little King 2010
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis apple sparkling wine was made in the traditional method, a rare treatment with orchard fruit wines. Soft raspberry, red apple, apple blossoms and fine, bright acidity carries this delicate and off-dry pink fizz. An ideal eleven percent alcohol sparkler, perfect for brunch or summer desserts. This special wine sells out every release and it's not just for the rare or delicious factor. The Little King was created in memory of Elephant Island founders' Miranda and Del's infant son Rex Halladay, who died as a result of an unsafe sleeping situation in hospital. All proceeds from the sale of The Little King are donated to the Pediatric Nursing Education Fund.
