Stag's Hollow Cabernet Franc 2013
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSmoked spices and sweet wood pervade this ripe and black fruited cabernet franc. Fruit sourced from Oliver and Osoyoos was fifty percent whole cluster and partially fermented in French oak before an additional eighteen months barrel rest and into bottle without fining or filtration. Full bodied and dense, with ample rich blackberry, cloves and perfumed dark flowers. Tannins are thick and chewy and the finish comes across heated and sweet.
