Haywire Gamay Noir 2014

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis bright fruited, youthful gamay comes off the cooler Secrest Mountain Vineyard in Oliver. Cherry, raspberry, blue plums with bits of red liquorice are perfectly textured with a fine, dusty, gravel, tannin on a warm Okanagan afternoon. The fruit has a peppery red edge with more smoked stone and minerality in the finish. A perfect wine for pork or even a mushroom pasta dish.
