Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Napa Valley, California, United StatesA straight up Napa cabernet that speaks to its cool vintage. The nose is a mix of red and dark fruits with a dollop of jalapeno and green pepper notes. The palate is medium body with light grippy tannins. There are bits of merlot cabernet franc and petit verdot in the mix that show more cedar and dried herbs than ripe fruit this year. This will be best served mid-term or now with a steak. Good not great.Tasted: 18 April 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $50.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
