La Crema Chardonnay 2014

Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County, California, United StatesThere is only 18 percent new oak in the mix here and the wine only spend seven months in wood with the exception of a small amount of juice kept in stainless steel to maintain freshness. Winemaker Elizabeth Grant-Douglas speaks to the wines Meyer lemon scents you can add butter, pear, orange/honey, baked apple flavours with a delicious, spicy mineral note that draws you into every glass. In 2014 the weather was almost perfect giving the fruit the capacity to go through a malolactic fermentation and sur-lie ageing complete with hand-stirring every three or four weeks. Well done. Perfect with chicken or creamy pasta dishes.Tasted: 03 February 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
