Vin Perdu Gamay Noir 2014

British Columbia, CanadaThe Coulombe family has been growing grapes and selling them for nearly two decades from their Oliver estate before deciding to produce their own wines in 2013. Ripe, sun-lit cherries, raspberries, strawberry jam and herbal red currants are tinged with smoked meat and sweet tobacco - remnants of four months in French oak. Both acidity and tannins are slight, carrying to a finish of finely rasped nutmeg. Lovely fruit, though would prefer to see it clearer, brighter without the oak cloak.Tasted: 19 January 2016Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
