Van Westen Vineyards Violeta 2012

Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA malbec with a somewhat meaty reductive peppery nose upon opening that cleans up with time. We recommend splash decanting this if you are keen on opening it. The attack is soft and round a super juicy. Reminiscent of a big fruity zinfandel it has that spicy bramble beery flavours with some persistent, meaty reductive notes. It loses some of its intensity in the finish. Try this with barbecue chicken or ribs. It’s soft enough to enjoy now. This is the first release of Violeta a 100 percent malbec.Tasted: 05 January 2016Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
