Painted Rock Red Icon 2013

Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTobacco, cranberry, ash, peppery nose with cassis, savoury, light vanilla, black olive and light meaty notes. The attack is fresh and round, the palate elegant and dry with well-managed rounded tannins. The flavours are spicy with a strong savoury, dried herb, tobacco leaf, cranberry, sour cherry notes mixed with smoky, vanilla and a hint of orange peel flavours. Finish is quite dry with a structured tannin Bordelais finish. This need another three to five years to fully integrate. The blend is a promising 33/29/21/12/5 mix of merlot, cabernet franc, petit verdot malbec and cabernet sauvignon.Tasted: 06 January 2016Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
