Torres Campos da Ibéricos Rioja 2013

Rioja, SpainThe Iberian Peninsula is home to this Torres tempranillo. Aged a year in oak and even longer in the bottle, the nose is a smoky, green branch and herbal mix of fruit and spice. Soft and slippery on the palate, with a cedar, plum, cherry and bright acid undercurrent. The finish is soft and juicy and the tannins mellow, finishing with a bitter black cherry twist. The smokiness dominates this wine, overwhelming the fruit. Drink now with veal chops or mushroom pasta dishes.Tasted: 07 December 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:
