Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label NV

Champagne, FranceA rich toasty NV brut defines the house style at Veuve, due mostly to some 50 different cru vineyards and 25 to 40 per cent reserve wine (from five to six vintages) that is blended back into the blend of 50-55% pinot noir, 15-20% pinot meunier and 28-33% chardonnay. Look for a richer bread dough base to support baked apple, pear and lemon. Light smoked stone, lemon curd and baked pear is brightened with a citrus pith and a tiny bit of sweetness in the finish. One of the best non-vintage VCs in recent memory.Tasted: 05 December 2016Tasted by: Prices:
