British Columbia, CanadaEighty-five percent syrah and twelve percent mourvèdre are graced with a splash of grenache, bringing a lift of sweet strawberry to this spicy, brooding black fruited blend. Low yields have upped the concentration, while fifteen months in aged French oak has upped the structure. Wild blackberry and cassis are carried by slightly chewy tannins and spiced with Okanagan desert garrigue. Acidity maintains the balance right through the lingering finish.
