Proper cooler climate Adelaide Hills, with struck stone, green apple, pear and lemon expanding to include white peach and nectarine on the focused palate. A creamy cushion of orchard fruit and skeleton of stony spice frames this deftly, leaving a whiff of cloves and light smoke on the finish. So fresh and bright with smoky green apple, peachy fruit and laced with citrus notes from front to back. Creamy but hardly filling it walks the fine line between rich and lean with just a trace of stuck match and French oak for complexity. This will age gracefully under screwcap through 2016 and beyond.
