Marisco The King's Legacy Chardonnay 2013
Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandFull and creamy, but with a spire of citrus freshness, this chardonnay is sourced from a mature plot in the centre of the Wairau Valley, as well as from younger vines in Brancott Valley. Partial whole bunch press, partial wild ferment and ten months on lees (50 percent new wood) amps up the mouth-feel and body, with toasty wood, cream, popcorn, green apple and lemon curd ruling the show.
