Vistalba Corte C Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon Bonarda 2014

Vistalba District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaBodega Vistalba was opened in 2002 in Luján de Cuyo and was setup to delve into the traditional winemaking style where wines were blended ‘corte.’ Vistalba turns out various grape mixes under malbec, cabernet sauvignon and bonarda blends and the wine is fermented in concrete vessels and then blended and aged in French oak barrels. The 2014 is easily the most approachable version of this wine we have seen in years. The nose is warm and spicy, by the textures are supple and soft on the palate with rich, black fruits with plums and prunes dominating. Elegance and style is the hallmark of this year and this wine is well worth buying.Tasted: 10 August 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
