Vistalba Corte C Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon Bonarda 2013

Vistalba District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaBodega Vistalba was opened in 2002 in Luján de Cuyo and was setup to delve into the traditional winemaking style where wines were blended ‘corte.’ Vistalba turns out various grape mixes under malbec, cabernet sauvignon and bonarda blends Corte A, Corte B and the wine is fermented in concrete vessels and then blended and aged in French oak barrels. In 2013 the nose is an enticing mix of spice, licorice and stony red and black fruit blend with floral undertones. The palate is awash in peppery, cedar, tobacco, meaty, black cherry and plum flavours with a savoury smoky finish. You can drink this now but it will improve with three to five years in bottle.Tasted: 10 August 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
