Noble Ridge Stony Knoll Chardonnay 2012

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA near perfect vintage has created, perhaps, the best chardonnay yet from Noble Ridge. Free to express its most minute notes under screwcap it opens clean and crisp with a breathe of lees over ripe apples and citrus undertones. Only eight percent of the wine sees oak and even that is a mix of new and one year old oak that respects the natural acidity; again to allow the bright, peachy/pear fruit to shine through. Fish soup, cheeses, chicken, this delicious bottle is very complementary to food. One hundred percent Okanagan Falls fruit masquerading as an Okanagan Valley chardonnay which is likely why its $19.95 instead of $29.95.Tasted: 26 August 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
