Jumilla, Valencia and Murcia, SpainHuge black pepper nose with tobacco leaf, meaty, chocolate, plum, light vanilla and licorice aromas. Rich, ripe, round, full, juicy palate with some light, astringent tannins. The attack is warm with plum jam, black cherry, chocolate, savoury, vanilla, smoky herb, roast meat flavours. Super ripe fruit but finish is hot and somewhat tannic. Needs a few years or air it out before serving with hardy dishes.
