Chateau Beaulieu Coteaux D'Aix-en-Provence 2014

Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, Provence, Sud de France, FranceThe property producing distinctive shaped bottle of rosé has a highly distinctive lineage. 180 hectares of vines are plated in the heart of the extinct la Trévaresse volcano, at an altitude of 400 metres. Château Beaulieu is the largest estate in the AOP appelation Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and has been owned successively by some of the top families of Provence over hundreds of years. Heady sous bois, florals and cherry aromas lead to a medium bodied, firmer palate. Red currant, tart cranberry, rhubarb and white pepper finish with pithy pink grapefruit and a bit of lingering heat. Brisk and frisky, pour this bone dry blend of grenache/cabernet sauvignon/syrah/cinsault/mourvèdre with charcuterie or lardon, cherry arugula salad.Tasted: 13 August 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
