Adami Cartizze Dry Valdobbiadene Superiore NV

Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyThe hill of Cartizze is a 1,000-foot-high vineyard of 107 hectares of vines owned by 140 growers. The land, hilly steep sloped vineyards facing south and planted over old glacial moraines mixed with sandstone and clays, is estimated to be worth in excess of one million US dollars per hectare. The second fermentation “Metodo Italiano” is in stainless steel pressurized tanks. The residual sugar is 24-26 g/l with total acidity at 6 g/l. The style is full, rich, with a definite sweetness on the palate. Ripe red apples mixed with dried apricots. Fresh and balance with a sweet supple finish. Fruit pies, fresh strawberries or pastries would all work here. Delicious.Tasted: 14 December 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
