Ravenswood Single Vineyard Teldeschi Zinfandel 2012

Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesDry Creek zinfandel comes with tell-tale blue fruits and warm spices and the latest Teldeschi has it all in spades. The blend is 80/12/8 zinfandel, carignan and petite sirah. The nose invites you deep into the glass with big floral, peppery, raspberry/blackberry notes. The attack is warm with rich, deep, soft black fruit flavours and dusky spices. Tannins have a plush though solid frame, and the peppery finish is long and savoury. Love the balance and restraint here. You can drink this now with pulled pork (best if decanted first) or cellar it through 2020.Tasted: 31 July 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:
