Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, California, United StatesWith only 76 per cent zinfandel in the mix there is plenty of room for 12 per cent petite sirah that brings pepper and spice and 12 carignane that brings raspberry fruit and acidity. We love the rich enticing nose of ripe raspberry/blackberry jam streaked with pepper. It's ripe and warm on the palate with plenty more black fruit flavours in the finish. Big rich, powerful beefy zin that will benefit from another year or two in bottle.
